So wanting to expand my collection and venture away from Breitling (2 super avengers).. I kinda caught the Rolex
Bug. I was surfing the net and reading the other forums around. I decided on a sub and went
to try one on. Oh my friggen god... it looked like a dam girl watch on me. I guess wearing super
avengers for so long will do that to ya. Oh well ex nay on the rollie... guess Ill get that pam 312. That
shouldnt look to small.

It's not that the Rolex submariner is a small watch. The SA is just big. 40mm case size is great for people with wrists 7" and under.

Same thing happened to me multiple times. I want to love the sub, but each time I time I try one on it's way too small. It even looks tiny compared to my 41mm omegas. It's the small dial vs. large bezel which makes it wear even smaller. I have to say that the new sub c wears larger than the original but the lack of double AR coating annoys me. What's worse is that they tease you with a double AR coating under the cyclops so the date is clear but the rest of the crystal hazy and reflective. I've been spoiled by Breitling's and Omega's AR coating.

The Fifty Fathoms is a much nicer diver, IMHO. So are the JLC Divers.

I agree, it's hard to beat the FF. It's such a nice watch and, unlike the sub, is even nicer in person. The JLC divers, on the other hand, remind me a lot of the rubber bezel Breitlings that no one around here likes.

I agree about the seals divers. The regular ones with the ti bezels actually look a lot the older lings. The mcdc is like an upgraded chrono avenger.
