I have a 7 3/4" wrist and I was wondering if the SO abyss would wear too small, what do you think?

Get the new superocean 44. It's the perfect size for you. About $300 more

Mine is 7 1/2 and I tried both watches. Ended up getting the 44. The abyss was just too small. The 44 has a good size and weight.

Same here, tried an Abyss White 42 at my AD, looked insanely small. Strange thing is I wear a 41mm Seamaster and it does not seem small.

Ordered a 44 from a few states away. Pic below on my 7 3/4" wrist.

+1

I have a 7.5" wrist and sold my Blackbird (44mm) which I loved because it was just a little too small for my taste. I could have lived with it if I had too, but that Superocean... not a chance.

:yeahthat

I must say I think the SO44 on the brushed bracelet is darn close. Still, I simply do not "get" the dial. I do like it much more on wrist pics than the website or publicity pics. Were it an addition rather than replacement for the Fish, I'd say, "Ok," but as it has gutted the Fish - and being a particularly poor sport - I say, "Boooooo."

(You're Goddamn right I did!)

But...

Will be more and more difficult to get one if he wants it new.

Anything less than 43-44 will look small IMO.

Hi to all on Breitling Source.

Had to register to just say, the SO II 42mm does not wear small on a 7.5" wrist, as thats what I have.

I always think to myself does it look good to me before I worry what others might think(if at all)

If the watch looks good to you, buy it.

p.s Waiting for my new SO II Chrono (red) to come in, thats 44mm

I think that the SOII Abyss looks larger on wrist shots than it actually is. I had one for close to a year, and ultimately decided to sell it recently because it just looked too small for me. I think that the chapter ring breaks up the dial and makes it appear smaller than 42mm. My wrist is right at 7".

I think you're exactly right. The color draws the eye in and in ends up looking smaller. I actually preferred the look of the SO II but the size of the 44. I was thinking about the SOC until FEAR posted that list price!!
