Looks fishy;
- Seller claims case is brushed (as it should be), but definitely polished
- Fake Crosswind Special box/papers,
- date suspiciously between two days so can't check the font, but looks wrong
- crystal not raised

http://cgi.ebay.com/Breitling-Navitimer ... 500wt_1394

Edit:

Just checked Sharkmouth's fake analysis:

http://f4buz.com/watches/breitling/fakes/fighters.html

I can give the benefit of the doubt to the above but the fact that the chrono secs are marked in 1/4 sec instead of 1/5 sec is the clincher.

Bidding already up to $1,500

Reported

I don't know how much variance there is in the serial nos. of these fakes but seen two with LE no. 5764 and all seem to have the Messerschmitt typo. (I suspect this one does too as seller omits it from description)

Reported - "'Quality' Fighters fake. Date font is wrong, watch should have 1/5th second ticks, not 1/4th."

Glad one of my earliest efforts in spotting fakes is going to (hopefully) save someone an expensive mistake.

Still here.

It was 'her' late husband's watch but just noticed she has very masculine hands!

Re-reported for one last time but I think this one is going to run to the end but maybe Bentley_boi will come to the rescue.
