I just received a Breitling chrono colt watch. It is a quartz. I just noticed that the minute hand is not synced with the second hand. When the second reaches 60 the minute hand is not exactly on the mark. I have read some other posts that it will not stay the same but I wanted to know if the time will be off because of this. Also, what is the hacking mechanism? Thanks

It won't affect time keeping at all.

A hacking seconds feature is a watch where the second hand stops when you pull the crown out to adjust the time.

If you pull the crown out to adjust the minutes when the sub seconds is at 60 you can, but as was discussed in the other threads that you said that you had found, it won't stay that way.

Because there is play in the running train of the movement to prevent the wheels from binding which results in the hands having a little free 'play'. This is most evident in long hands like the minute hand where the tip is furthest away from the arbor.

If there wasn't some free movement of the hand the watch wouldn't run.
