I'm trying to get an idea of what a pre-owned steelfish would go for. Either from a private party or from an AD who has serviced, polished, and basically refurbished it? Can anyone give me an idea? Thanks!

Question 2 here addresses pricing - http://www.breitlingsource.com/articles_faq.shtml#8

Also look at the Buy / Sell / Trade section here, you don't have to look far to find examples.

Pre-loved Fish come up all the time, many in Mint condition with over a year left on the warranty and several years from the first service interval. Depending on all these factors, they usually seem to go just south of $2K. For a mint one as above, barely south. Especially now that the remaining new ones have been tagged with 2 price increases, if they can be found at all.

Where there is a will, there is a way.

Took me long enough to find a brand new one, but it was so worth the wait and the search.

Heres a link to a Steelfish for sale on this forum for $1800:

5-7 years is the standard breitling service interval.

I know the Steelfish is discontinued, but I was curious when it originally came out?

Original smaller version in 2005 - http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... ne_16.html
Larger version introduced in 2006 and named X-Plus - http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... ne_20.html
Renamed as Steelfish with the disappearance of the smaller version in 2007 (but same as X-Plus) - http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... e_186.html

Having just purchased a brand new Steelfish I am curious to know how many were produced [ latest model ] ?
I know it probably is thousands and thousands, just curious.

Breitling doesn't reveal production numbers.

I sold mine recently for around $1500 as best I can recall. It was nearly perfect with some marks on the bracelet from my hamfisted resizing. This was two or three years old, out of warranty, all boxes and papers.
