When we were touring the b01 factory 2 days ago I asked about this. If they find a certain issue, they will make running changes to the movement. Because they manufacture all the parts there,it's not a huge deal to fix if they discover the problem.

They do some SERIOUS testing to these things, if there is a design flaw, they will find it. I've seen other factories and the b01 facility and process is quite impressive.

In terms of what I highlighted, that can only be true for production issues, design issues by their very nature will take a lot longer to fix, even after they have been isolated.

When was yours produced bozman52?

I'm not sure of the exact manufacture date, but it was purchased in July 2009. As I believe the B01 was released to the US market in June 2009, I would assume it was made sometime between April-June of 2009.

We have hardly had problems with the 01 movement watches. I think they should exchange that particular movement for a new one. Sometimes there is nothing else, You can do...

I'm glad things got resolved. It's been a ling haul.

. . . a ling haul indeed. If I remember correctly, didn't you have an issue with the chrono minute counter jumping ahead when you started the chrono on your Navi 01?

No.. Mine worked flawlessly. You may be remembering my excitement when I found out that the minute counter was a jumping one instead of a smooth sweeping one.

I just didn't bond with the navi as much as I hoped. The non LE with arabics on bracelet seems to have a whole different feel, though.

Again - I'm happy things worked out. I had to send in the same watch in twice but don't think I could have handled 4.

I received a call from the technical director at BUSA yesterday stating my new movement had arrived from Switzerland and they will be installing it into my existing case. He believes it will be ready to ship to me by early next week, which will be in time for my wedding on the 30th.

Although I was not pleased with the 3 week lack of communication I had with the technical director, I can't complain too much about how BUSA has handled the issue this time around. Also, I'm really pleased the watch didn't have to go to Switzerland to be fixed. BUSA worked around all my personal constraints (wedding, honeymoon, move to the UK) to get me my watch in time. Overall, they're still ok in my book.

That's really great news. I'm glad that finally this whole nightmare is near the end for you.

Wish you all the best with all the upcoming big events in your life. And this time, you'll have a faithful partner to assist you. No excuses for being late at your wedding or timing the duration of the ceremony. :)

It would be logical to have a 2-year guarantee but I wouldn't bet on it.

Thats Great news!!!! I think they should compensate you with a Breitling Golf bag, Crystal Ashtray, 5 Hermes Ties, 5 Boxers, 5 Pair of Socks , 5 Jackets ,5 Pens, and 5 of everything thing else they give away. I am not sure how you have been so calm through all this, you definitely have patience!!!

5 is a odd number ,and if this recent ones breaks he will be on his 5th. 5 is also how many fingers on ones hand ,and that would be what I would want to hit Breitling with should it break again.

Thanks for the support, guys. I definitely think they should send me along some really nice swag, but I'm not counting on it. Maybe I'll get a third copy of The Book! Since I'm moving and can't take unnecessary stuff with me, I'd probably post all of it up here for sale anyway.

Regarding the warranty, I haven't discussed that. In fact, it completely slipped my mind. Honoring the factory 2-year warranty makes sense, as it is a BRAND NEW movement, but the service warranty work is only covered for a year. I'll ask and get back to you guys. This is an interesting question.
