Hello,

I was trying to find out some info. about a watch I own. The Breitling Navitimer A38022 1461/52 limited edition watch No 832/1000. I was wondering if you could give me some advice and a rough estimate of its value based on these characteristics:

1. It does not function, but all internal parts are accounted for.
2. I am missing one of the metal caps that cover the buttons on the side of the face.
3. The once blue dial seems to be worn at the edges like someone cleaned it too well and exposed the gold colored metal underneath it.
4. The strap is not original.

Other than that all it needs is a good cleaning and polish.

The advice I'm seeking is if you think it is worth it to buy the dial ($165), strap ($400-$500), and the metal cap ($???) and cost of repairs, then try to sell it. Or should I just sell it as is on ebay or something for parts. What do you think I should do? Thanks in advance for your responses. I appreciate it.

Welcome to BreitlingSource.

I wouldn't worry about the strap, but the repairs and servicing will be worth it. Make sure that you only use Breitling authorised service, but with a non functioning watch with obvious problems you won't get much money for it as is. Service and repairs will probably come close to $1,000, but will definitely be worth it in this case.

Definitely get it serviced/repaired by Breitling. Rare and collectable piece.

Chono24 has a couple with a $5000+ asking price (doesn't mean they'll get it!)

and there's one about to end on eBay if you hadn't spotted it
