just looking for feedback on pricing for a used SO abyss 44mm (the orange one) purchased May 2011 from AD. Seller is asking $2300. It's on a diver pro II with tang buckle. Watch in great condition.

Figure you can buy one for 20-25% off brand new. Normally used id say to pay about 50-60% of list, but with a brand new model like this its not likely. I think 60-65% (probably more like 65%) of list is about right. Oh, and I have no idea what list price is on it.

That seems about right then. I believe the head alone retails for around $3200. The seller told me that retail with strap was $3600 so 65% would be $2340.

It's a great watch, I have the same one and like it. It wears larger than the Steelfish which had the same case. Wonder if list went up on these at the last price increase? If so I think $2300 is a great deal!

Thanks for that. Your post bout the watch led me down this road! I really like the orange.

I got him down to $2225. So think I'm going ahead with it.

Now that dealers are being more restrictive with their discounting, the old 60% off of retail theory on preowned Breitlings is going to have to change.

Ended up getting it for $2208 net. Think that's a solid price.

Ha, sorry about that;). Great deal on that watch though! Enjoy it.

I've got a few pics of mine on other strap I'm going to post, also bought the SS bracelet, should have that Monday.
