Is this authentic?

The bracelet looks different from other navitimers that I have seen and the caseback looks like it has been polished and is hard to see the serial and model, It is a A13022 model.

Looks fine to me. I have seen that style of bracelet buckle before on older versions of the Navitimer Montbrilliant.

Does this model normally come in with the screw lock crown?

What is a fair price for this watch?

Real, but hands look like replacements. It will not have a screwdown crown.

No. Water resistence isn't very good on Navis. They are usually rated to 30M which means shower proof.

What makes the hands look like replacements? Thanks!

I'm not an expert on Navitimers but it looks fine too me, indeed though I too have never seen that type strap on a Navitimer. I'm also intrested however to know why Roff says the hands look replaced on them from a learning point of view. I know some of the newier Navitimers have a more aircraft propeller look to the hands alot thinner and not lumed but I've also seen these ones before on other Navitimers.

Would love to learn abit on navitimers too so open to hearing why, what and how.

I had a question regarding the operation of the chronograph on this watch.

There are 3 buttons on the right and the top and bottom one are for the chrono.

Pressing the top one will start the timer.
Pressing the top one another time will pause the timer.
If paused, pressing the bottom one should reset the timer.

If running, should pressing the bottom one pause the hands but continue recording (so you can take down the time)? And if pressed again return to the current recording time?

No, on standard Valjoux 7750 based movements like this, pressing the bottom(reset) pusher has no affect when the chrono is running.
That sort of function you mention is only found in special Rattrapante type chronographs
