your going to get the one with the green sapphire crystal right? just saw that on Sunday it was beautiful. cant say i was happy about the fact they only wanted to give 10% off & the fact he was trashing breitling

The white dial doesn't come with the green sapphire.

This is an interesting decision by Rolex.

As others have mentioned there are owners who have been willing to sacrifice their Rolex warranty to have a green glass retro fitted. I think it looks superb.

The white dial is my favourite of the two. I'm sure Rolex would sell a bucket load more if the GV option were available.

Yep, the white dialed version is most definitely my favourite.

Congrats Ricardo. I saw all three versions last weekend at Govberg and they all looked amazing. I owned the black dial for awhile and I loved the weight of the piece and how it wore.

Hi Ricardo - I usually have greatest respect for all your watch choices (yes, even the Sub C at the expense of that superb gold CM you had! ), but the Milgauss, and especially the white dial version without the funky green cyrstal, just really leaves me a bit cold I'm afraid. :? It's one watch that I've never understood the fuss about personally.

Just my opinion of course, but congrats all the same and obviously I'm glad you're happy with the pick-up!

Thank You Justin.

Indeed the weight, size and feel of the Milgauss did seem to be spot on when I tried it last week.

In all honesty Mr Driver I can agree with you to some degree. The Milgauss may well be worth the £5150 MRRP to some people but most definitely not to me. However, I've always admired the aesthetics (the white dial and orange accents really sing to me) and the concept of the anti-magnetism. Without that price tag it was always a desirable watch for me.

I prefer the white dial over the black but I agree with you that the green glass would set it off nicely.

I'm only truly ecstatic with this purchase because it was a substantial saving off retail. :D

Seems like a subtle way to drive business to your AD....dropping little hints about the great deals recently and savings off of retail etc.. Well done!!

Congrats, I only recently became a fan of this model, if it had a date it would be on my radar for sure. Enjoy.

Thanks Sergio,

I've yet to determine whether the lack of date will be an issue. It's absence certainly adds to the wonderful symmetry.

Date display or not I still absolutely love this watch.

I still don't think it should retail for more than the Submariner Ceramic but now I've had some quality time with it I think it's a lot, lot closer.

Please see my initial pictures of this awesome timepiece here viewtopic.php?f=5&t=31260

What is the retail price on the Milgauss? After my sighting at the airport, and your recent posts I have become enamored with the model. Quite possible may be the best looking current Rolex model in my opinion?

$7,150 for the standard (both black and silver dials), $7650 for the green crystal (black dial only).

Wow. I paid less than $5200 at an AD less than 2 years ago. It kind of pisses me off because the more I wait the more out of reach the new models are getting for me.

Anyway, in addition to what ricardo said about liking liking the white dial with orange details, another great feature about the milgauss is the weight. It feels like a "real" watch compared to other Rolex models because of the soft iron "inner" case back. I always felt Rolex watches were a bit light for my tastes. The newer models with the solid center links feel better but not as nice as the milgauss. It must be that I'm used to Breitlings.
