Hopefully one of you could help me find out what watch this is. The only information that I have on it is that it was a friends grandfathers and he was in the Navy, so it could potentially be military issue, as I read that Breitling did have some, but I couldn't find any info on them.

Should this be under Help?

Thanks

Looks lovely! I especially love the tourb at 9 oclock...if that's a tourb. Gotta love the beautiful bentley bezel and super avenger crown. Wonderful watch you have yourself.

Now I see it, wish I hadn't.

Very cheap, very nasty fake.

As Sergio pointed out, albeit snidely, it's got a fake tourbillon at 9:00, which is a dead giveaway. There is only one Breitling that has a tourbillon, and that's the Bentley Mulliner Tourbillon. Check it out on the models page. As you will see, yours looks nothing like it. Unfortunately, the "history" about your friend's grandfather is all for naught.

Maybe in your country no one is sarcastic but I am. Get used to it.

Isn't it funny how many people 'inherit' fake Lings???

More likely the sarcasm didn't translate. There's a funny anecdote Matt Damon tells about one such misunderstanding at the Venice Film Festival in 2009, which perfectly illustrates just how sarcasm doesn't cross the language barrier. (Relevant part starts at 1:20.)

Ironically, your screen name is exactly what his watch is. Cool. :lingsrock:
