It looks to me like the reference number on the back is "2011." I'm not familiar with that model.

OP is obviously free to do what he pleases, but I would take a recommendation from this group over some random stranger every day of the week. Craig has worked on countless pieces for members here and the results are posted for anyone to see.

:yeahthat

I will vouch for Craig too... he's worked on so many of my pieces I can't count...

@timezone:

the most complicated repair work that I had to undertake was always caused by incompetent watchmakers using wrong parts or just by their shoddy workmanship.

If you never had this problem, you are either very, very lucky, live in vintage watchmakers paradise (I live in Austria, but have used/suffered under watchmakers/"restorers" from around the world) or you did the work yourself ?

most of us can not do this, so I consider myself extremely fortunate to have somebody like Craig/Chronodeco work on my watches. not only do I sometimes have the feeling I am taking advantage of him because his pricing is so fair, he has literally saved "unsalvagable" Excelsior Parks, Zenith 146HPs or early 769s for me that now are beautifully restored, perfect pieces.

Craig has more work than he can or wants to handle, so he really does not need us to drum up business for him; but finding Craig was one of the important things I gained from this forum. And helping other watch lovers and passing on the knowledge we were lucky to acquire is what this forum is about, imho.

@watchowner:

sorry that we hijacked your thread with this discussion; your TT 2011 really is a rare and beautiful piece from 1967, "restore" as little as possible, externally it seems to be in mint condition.

competent service and some delicate polishing is most probably all it needs to serve and please you (and your heirs) for decades.

You guys are great. Thanks for all the fabulous advice and information. I agree that the watch needs some touching up and it will look great. Looks like I will have to contact Craig soon.
I am new to this forum but I am starting to enjoy it. :D

I do agree there with you, however with abit searching and homework there must be sombody,

I do alot of the work myself on watches, or I go go where I studied Watchmaking in The Netherlands called Schoonhoven the Silver City, it's a small City (village) with the only School in Nederland for Goldsmith, Sliversmith and Clockwork Alot of the Jewllers still stay in the city and have been there since goodness knows when in that sence I suppose yes I am lucky.
