Hi everyone,
I am still trying to find that nice breitling chrono to add to my small collection of watches. I haven't noticed these on any of your recent "fakes" that you guys post in the forum. Thanks, for the help.

PS would you guys concidering posting some legit watches that you find on ebay, etc instead of just the fake ones? It would sure help some of us newbs, who yes I am sorry to say obviously don't have a clue.

both bad fakes.

first is listed by what I (personal opinion only) consider a frontman for the Argentina cottage industry, I have yet to see an authentic Breitling from this source.

Authentic 40s/50s Breitling chronographs on the bay are rare birds at the moment, most listed are fake/franken.

Both watches do not have correct movement markings, no model numbers (3 to 4 digit numbers on the outside caseback, most often 17x, 7xx, 11xx for the types you are looking for), no period correct serial numbers (6 digit, between 56xxxx and 9xxxxx for 40s/50s chronos), badly refinished fake dials.

Post pics of the watches you find that correspond to the basic requirements above, people will then help you to weed out the Frankens, i.e. those that at least have parts that might be authentic.

Common sense needed on these - just ask yourself, would a 60 year old dial look brand new - no matter how well cleaned it was.
