Anyone who has a solid gold Bentley can do what ever they want in my book! Buuuuut, a new croco strap is tip change compared to what that watch cost ya. :poke:

Does it stay in place? Do the edges of the "protection" show?

Sure, and it's your watch, your wrist. Must run, have to start wrapping my neck ties in plastic wrap. :)

I wear maxi-pads under my arm pits so my expensive dress shirts don't get sweat stains. I see nothing wrong with your idea. :lingsrock:

I find it hard to believe that it always stays in place. Unless of course if you don't move your arm.

And how do you preserve it from scratches?

I tend to put my arm in the safe when I leave the house, the watch generally stays with it.

IMHO the beauty of leather is brought out with use. Sweat and oils tend to soften the leather and the marks they create is what gives individuality to the strap. But each to their own.

:yeahthat

A $20k or so watch and you're that worried about a $300 strap? That's kinda like not wanting to pay for new tires on a Ferrari. But hey, whatever makes you happy.
