they sold a s*** ton of bentley models at 9k, 675, gmt etc, and this is a better watch than they are... whats the big diff? the bentley gmt has been this price almost for years and sold well

As I hope I made clear, price is but one part of the equation for me. The other is styling. It falls apart for ME at the latter.

I also got to try on the new B04 GMT recently. It was a lot nicer in the flesh than any of the press pictures. I looked at the blue dialled version. It was very attractive indeed.

However, what was not so attractive was the price and the size. Both were way to large for me.

Am I right in thinking that the movement is similar to the rolex gmt. In other words the crown moves the 12hr main hand back & forth instead of the 24 hr gmt hand. If it does this would be the most practical mechanical gmt watch I've seen.
cheers

My GUESS is that you unscre the crown and position one winds. Position 2 moves the date
In one direction and the gmt in the other, and the thirs position does the traditional time functions.

It's 24 hr gmt hand isn't it? I haven't held one yet.

The Omega Great White functions the same way. Dose the Breilting have a quick change date? That's the down side of the Omega. To change the date you have to move the hour hand. The good thing is that the minutes and seconds continue to keep time as the hour hand is advanced forward or backwards.

Haha, that's what I though when I first saw the picture.

Nope, it doesn't have a quick set date. The date is tied to the 12 hour hand and will change when moving both forwards and backwards.

For those who need a GMT the single greatest GMT watch is the Carl Bucherer traveltec GMT.

3 time zones all of which can be set independently of the time. Quick date set both forwards and backwards. It's a great watch for those who need to keep track of multiple timezones.
