Inner Click Bezel Spring

I recently had my Chonomat Evolution brushed by a reputable person (according to a few forums). When I got my watch back, the bezel wasn't quite aligned perfectly. So I removed the bezel to re-align the inner click spring. The bezel is now aligned, but I noticed that the inner spring had a kink or bend behind each ratcheting point. Is that normal or should the spring be perfectly flat (with the exception of the ratcheting points of course)? Thanks!

It's normal. The spring is slightly octagonal (or whatever it'd be called with more sides!), not a totally smooth ring.
