Serge is the Navi World similar dial color to the CSO that you and I have? If so, I consider that more of a silver... Just my thoughts..

I felt that the Navi World was more white than our CSO. The CSO definitely has more of a silver tint to it. The SOHC was super white, the Navi World had a touch more ivory, but just a slight touch. One thing I always noticed aobut the world was that the slide rule was a brighter whiter than the dial...the dial does has a slighty ivory tone to it. I would not consider it silver even if the Breitling website calls it silver.

I honestly think the CSO is more white than silver....maybe I am just color blind.

So, I don't mean to hijack this thread, but your CSO looks pretty good on rubber! I actually just told my wife that I didn't want her to get it for me for my birthday. I didn't think the white / silver dial would look good... hmm...

With all due respect to Sparwood, I'd disagree that the World dial is truly white. It's certainly not white in the same way that a white dial SA's dial is white. I'd say the "white" dial Navi World is more like a very light ivory/silver sort of colour - lighter than the "white" dial SOF, but definitely not a pure white.

I guess that what I was getting at is the world dial is a shade of white (ie, ivory, off white, however you want to describe it) but it is definetly not silver, like say a silver dial evo.

That's a REALLY REALLY good point. This is a silver dial...

I have been lurking on this site for some time now until I finally pulled the trigger and get the Navitimer World (stainless steel w/all blue face and white sides). I must say I am extremely happy with my decision in getting the all blue rather than the all white face since I felt the lack of color contrast made it look much bigger than it really was. Never imagined spending that much on my first real watch, but I just fell in love with it. It didn't hurt that I found a wholesaler in NYC that was able to get me a brand new one with docs for $4,400. I will send some photos of the all blue one when I get a chance. Thanks for all of the great advice posted on this site!

I definitely need to get my eyes checked because the SOHC looked bright white to me. Silver is the color on the right below.....right?

Yes, agreed the colour on the right is 'silver' :D but the SOHC 125 face is definently nearer to that colour above as it is to the 'white' on the left in my opinion.

I'm getting lost now Mfserge  Would you say that the SOHC 125 is 'white' or 'silver' or none of the two?

Cheers

I honestly think the SOHC 125 was white and not silver. The technical name is stratus silver but I saw no silver in it what so ever. Sharkman owned it prior to me for a few weeks, curious to get his take on it as well. There really is no right or wrong answer because we may all see it slightly differently.

Bottomline.....the white navi world is HOT :!: :!: :!:

White and silver aside, I think we all (well most of us) can agree on that :lingsrock:

Totally agree with your last sentance! :D

I'll tell you what I'm going to do. I'll get the 125 out tonight and ask the other half if she thinks the face is 'white' or 'silver', remember women are ALWAYS correct so she can have the final say!

I'll keep you posted.

Cheers da noo!

Looks like opinions vary on this. I still maintain that the SA has what I consider to be a pure white dial, whereas the Navi World is definitely an off-white in comparison. Incidentally, Breitling call the Navi World colour "silver" on their website configurator, but IMO it's more ivory. If you put a white SA next to a "white/silver" Navi World you will see a definite difference.

I will tend to agree with D8. You can't make it more white than an SA white.

Last time I checked it was something like £5,050 on a bracelet. Maybe have changed now (aka increased)

I have the Navi World in "white"....definitely think Ivory is the best way to describe it....regardless, I wear it on camel croc and on black croc and it's fantastic looking.
