The Montbrillant 01 with arabics has really caught my eye. I just spoke to my AD and these are the retail prices (in canadian dollars):

Steel Bracelet: $ 8640.00 + Tax
Strap: $ 7400.00 +Tax

I can't try it on because they don't have one in stock and wont be getting one either. I'll have to order it without trying it on (unless I find another AD that has it and I try it on there) and wait between 3 to 4 months for delivery. What do you guys think? I'm also looking at the second market for the older Montbrillant. The only difference is the price, size, and in-house movement...

Also, they quoted me $1520.00 + Tax for the Navi bracelet. I checked the price list here and the price is $1400. Did the price just go up or what?

How much would I have to spend on a Navi bracelet on the second market?

Thank you,

The Monty 01 would be a great option to bat clean up in the line-up. It is a real home run hitter especially on the Navi bracelet with the in-house movement

Not having tried the Pro II, and not being able to comment on the pricing, I can say that the Navi bracelet is very comfortable and a real treat to wear.

Are you thinking of the silver dial? If so throwing a brown crocc would be a nice option while waiting on a second hand navi bracelet.

edit...I see that there is only a silver dial option, which I think is the best looking option.

Yup, I am looking for the silver dial and intend to wear it on the bracelet and brown croc as well. Actually both the old Montbrillant at 38mm and the new one at 40mm both have the same lug size and will accomodate the 18-20mm bracelets and straps which is good since I will add a brown croc for my CSO and will be able to put it on the Montbrillant as well.

If you have any connections in Winnipeg. You can call up dimitras jewelers (only ad in wpg) And ask for george. I'm pretty sure he's got a Monty 01 in stock.

We don't use the US dollar in Canada which is where the OP is from.

That's a Pro II, not a Navitimer - and that price is higher than you would pay for a Pro II at an AD.

I am really developing a "thing" for the older/discontinued Montbrillant, the one with the number "12" at noon and the sword-shaped hour and minute hands

Putting the Monty 01 on hold for now.
