My clasp is not quite tight enough. Can't find prev post

I remember reading a post a while back on how to tighten up the clasp, ie. making it more difficult to open by bending clasp pieces. I have searched the forum for the post to no avail. Does anyone remember the instructions? I remember it was a fairly detailed post. Thanks

Thanks but this was not the post. It talked about slightly bending one of the pieces. The problem discussed was not n the safety clasp but rather the main clasp. I should mention it was for the pilot bracelet.

You need to bend the part of the clasp with the two "prongs" and make it flatter. Easy does it.

No I did find that one as well. But the one I am thinking about was far more detailed and just specific to the Pilot Bracelet. I wonder now if maybe it was on another Breitling forum - but I am on this one 95% of the time. Sorry to waste your time - I will search around.

Deployant Clasp adjustment procedure...

On the [I]deployant clasps for Breitling bracelets, I have had to adjust at least 1 out of 5 to ensure proper closure/release. On these bracelets, the curved "T' piece (the one with "BREITLING" engraved on it) can be carefully adjusted with two forefingers and thumb while holding the rest of the clasp between thumb and forefinger of the opposite hand. Squeezing the two forefingers and thumb together from either side of the curved piece will either shorten or lengthen the piece very, very slightly. Because the piece you are adjusting is quite stiff it doesn't really feel like you are making any difference in the "curve" (hence length) of the piece but you are. Repeated closing and opening of the clasp will bear this out. The "T" will then snap into and out of its receptacle with a different feel of "stiffness". It goes without saying that caution is in order here but the procedure does work I assure you. For your strap deployant clasp, using the same procedure will adjust the closing/opening "stiffness" of the clasp cover over the bar for capture/release. I made this adjustment on my Mom's watch (below) and it worked just fine. Again, be careful and work slowly... :-)

Can I just take a second and thank you guys for sharing your wealth of knowledge about Breitlings with the world? I had this same problem, and my watchmaker forgot to fix it when he polished my crosswind, so I was going to go to an AD today to see what they could do. Before I did, I searched for "clasp tighten", and this popped up - problem solved!

I get so much useful info from this forum....just wanted to say thanks!
