First the old ...

My first was a 2008 Chrono Cockpit, which I still admire and love wearing. The pilot bracelet was having a day off when these photos were taken.

Now the new ...

Just purchased this Superocean heritage 46 last weekend and thought I had better show it off before it got too many scratches on it. With the high shine, it does seem to be a scratch magnet except the mesh bracelet, which will never show scratches and I think is a great advantage if you like the mesh bracelet.

So far the watch has been fast by about 2 seconds per day. Will probably settle down a bit, but very happy with that. The watch is large on my fairly small wrist, however the curved lugs and the mesh bracelet hug it quite nicely. Had some initial issues with the mesh bracelet pinching my skin, but I have since biased the clasp more to six o'clock position to the point where there is now no extra links on that side (the clasp is still in the middle of my wrist though) and the deployant piece covers the additonal links on the 12 o'clock side so no pinching can occur. Thanks to andrew692003 for that tip.

I am working on my photo skills. It amazes me what fine detail comes out when you take closeups with the camera. Can see every scratch and piece of dust.

The enjoyment of these watches for me is the quality of all the components that make up the case and bracelet. The tolerances seem to be so precise. Masterpieces and amzing considering they are still a procution watch. Also for a mechanical, mine are extremely accurate (about two seconds per day and sometimes less if worn).

Thanks for allowing me to "show off" my two Breitlings.

Congratulations to you on two very nice watches. Smaller wrists have their benefits.

Congrats on you acquisitions! I really like the look of the Chrono Cockpit (and I'm normally not a Roman numerals guy) .

Very sharp two watches, wish you years of enjoyment and will warn you that number three is not that far in the distance.
Best health, Frank.

He knows that by now Frank

For the time being, enjoy those two pieces, they're very nice...and shiny.
