As part of my en devour to minimize and upgrade, I am selling my IWC BI and BP, plus a bit of cash, for this:

Image

Only 70 made, Middle East special edition, bought from a local collector who was able to help me out with acquiring a brand new one. A simply spectacular watch, all the charm and history of the BP with added high end complications. This is by far my favorite color combo of all the perpetual calendar Big Pilots, all white with a light touch of dark blue! Full review, pictures, and a video unboxing as soon as I get a few free hours.

That looks absolutely awesome Altair and no doubt worth the BI and BP. That it's rare only adds to its charm. I look forward to the review. Phenomenal piece!

I love the BP Perpetual. A wonderful pickup. You won't miss the standard BP or BI at all!

Absolutely awesome Altair. I love those perpetual calendars but I'd never seen that particular edition with the blue accents. Very very cool........... and definitely worth chopping the BP and BI in for! Looking forward to that review, and I'll be particularly interested in how you find the time adjustment as I believe that ALL the functions are controlled from the crown!

Superb piece.

Love it! That is absolutely the 'pilot' design to own. The blue accents look great and the weekdays and months are even in English - yeah! Great acquisition - congrats.

All the calendar info. one would want. Does it tell you when you have to go to the bathroom ? .

That's an incredible piece Altair, very many congratulations. Considering the complexity the dial still looks very legible - defintiely a great pick up.

Thanks guys, extremely delighted by the purchase! And eternally grateful to my kind collector friend who put in a good word with the IWC Boutique, I was not able to get a huge discount on it but still, the fact of owning one of only 70 made come with a price I suppose. Pictures do not do this watch justice at all, it looks simply spectacular in real life and is the least busy perpetual calendar I have seen (though I imagine the Pateks are even better). Here is a quick pick of mine (still unwrapped) next to the first one I saw on the wrist of a local watch nut:
