 Post subject: Steelfish winding issues

This past weekend I went to manually wind my Steelfish and felt what I can only describe as slipping at various intervals as I turned the crown. I plan on running it over to my local AD with a Breitling trained watchmaker, but I am curious as to what's going on. The watch is less than a year old. Ideas?

If it feels like it's slipping then it's probably slipping.

The crown stem has a 'clutch' - a piece of metal held in place by a spring that keeps the gears meshing in the various crown positions. It's held in place with a screw and it may just be that the screw is loose (with thanks to Marty / onewatchnut for identifying this much more likely solution than my suggestions last time this came up).

Thanks Roff! That is pretty much I suspected. But it's always comforting hearing it from someon who knows their stuff. So, is this something I should be overly concerned with? Should I cease manual winding until this is addressed in a few days?

I wouldn't wind the watch until it's resolved.
