Hi there,

This is advice from the UK, but I hope you find it useful.

When I was interested in buying a 312 my local Panerai AD didn't have one. I put a deposit down and waited just 6 weeks for it to arrive. I then got 5% discount. Not brilliant but I was a first time buyer in that particular AD.

Incidentally, the residuals on 312s are impressive. Well they were a year ago. I kept mine for 6 months and wore it in all situations (gardening, at work, mountain biking, etc.). When I sold it I got exactly what I had originally paid for it.

Those dealers are cowboys.

Both Panerai ADs in Sydney told me 7700 is list price (7000 + GST). I haven't seen an Australian Panerai price list, but it's no secret. If you want it from the horse's mouth, you could try calling the local office the parent company, Richemont - the number is (02) 8215 5520.

well...i took the plunge and bought the PAM 312 for 7k....not sure if this was a good deal but im over the moon about the watch....looks simply stunning and feels great on the wrist...although the strap seems to wear away quite easily
