CSO & Jackson...you two can conduct yourself at your AD the way you see fit. I'm speaking from experience that having a watch sized before purchasing works. I went into my AD last year dead set on buying a Sub Anniversay LV. I had it sized and hated it, the clasp sucked and the bracelet felt like crap. It did NOT feel that way when it was 3 links too big and dangling from my wrist. Having it size was the right thing to do and saved me a major headache. I then had the AD sized a GMT IIc and it felt 100x better and I bought it. If you're too timid to ask for it to be sized then that's your problem, but it works for me.

There is a member on here who bought a Deepsea, got it home, and hated the way the bracelet tappered down to 18mm. It didn't sit right on his wrist, such a large watch tappering down to 18mm didn't feel right. Had it been sized properly at the AD before purchasing he could have realized the issue ahead of time.

Neither of you have provided ONE reason why sizing a watch (that you're interested in buying) is the wrong thing to do. Because it takes too much time?? These guys are professionals, if they can't have a watch sized in 2 minutes by their watchmakers, find a new AD.

i would be willing to put my watch sizing skills up against anyone you find, i can do a strap in 10 seconds, sometimes with no tools, and a pro 1 bracelet in a minute or 2, but nobody can do a speed bracelet, especially if you need to take links out of both sides,the right way, in 2 minutes, not even close
