One of my sources contacted me back at the turn of the year and offered me a sweet deal on an iconic piece that I have had my eye on for a spell. With the pending divorce and the need to make my yearly donation to Uncle Sam, I wasn't really prepared to commit at the time. While passing through Dubai on my way to Thailand in March I dropped into the local AD to try one on in the metal. Well that was a mistake...after having seen it in the metal it was all over for me, but I was still apprehensive about making the commitment with the 2 other main hurdles still in front of me. I called him up and asked him if he would mind holding it for me and to my surprise he said no problem. We talked a couple weeks later and after some fancy wheeling, dealing, & horse trading we were able to come to an agreement that would allow me to pick it up with a minimum of up front out of pocket $$. So with all said and done, this rascal is now on it's way and will be on my wrist next month as I attend my Daughter's College Graduation. I know the style probably ain't for everyone and I'm not usually a fan of square pieces, but this one is really cool. This will be the second Corum in my collection and I have to say I am stoked about it. This a Limited Edition with only 750 World Wide according to Corum.

That's bad ass... is this movement the same or a variation as the one in the golden bridge? I actually like it because it doesn't look like a Corum...

congrats...

Very, very cool. I would like to see one in the metal. My wallet, though, says different..... :)

Congrats on the pick up man. That's definitely a unique piece and it'll look great with the rest of your collection.

And does that mean that you'll be able to ride your two-wheeler soon?

Now that is a sexy watch!!!!! Oftentimes dress watches leave something to be desired, but this one is spot on. Congrats on the watch, daughters graduation, and trip home.

That's outstanding Richard! That is a unique piece for sure and good to know its limited to 750 units worldwide. I bet you're counting the days now until she arrives. The other parents at your daughter's graduation will be jealous if they look at your wrist cuz you'll be stylin

Jlee I know what you mean man, although I also have the Corum Black Hull which has become one of my favorites to wear. Other than the Bridges and some of the Admiral's Cups, I don't really care for the rest of their line. According to their website the Ti Bridge is a Caliber number (CO007) and the Golden Bridge is a Caliber (CO113). The Ti also has a 72Hr reserve where the Gold Bridge only has 40 hour reserve. Of course then there is the difference in the material and cosmetics that make up each caliber. In either case they are both a marvel of micro engineering I think. I'm sure Roff or someone else might be able to clarify the details on this better.

Here is a little more info on them

http://www.mattbaily.ca/blog/2010/01/12/review-corum-ti-bridge/

Wonder if I can have a suit jacket made with only a right sleeve and go sleeveless on the left arm so I can show off my new piece?...would that be considered "Bad Form" ya'll think?

Congratulations Montexn, that is indeed a stunning and unique piece; first time I've seen one. Cool movement, I hope it arrives soon! Can't wait to see wrist shots.

That'll be really cool but just remember that we, and your daughter, need you in one piece.

I wonder how they're going to engineer the rotor on the movement...

Perhaps something like a micro rotor?
