Gentlemen,

There are two sides to this story. The buyer is making a claim about the transaction that, if true, gives him every right to dispute the transaction through PayPal.

I suggest that the buyer and seller connect with one another as quickly as possible and try to resolve the situation.

No need for editorial comments in the meantime.

OK, I found out was this POS is trying to do. I have nothing to hide so here it is... He is claiming that there was no watch. I had the package insured and my receipt also show that it weighed 3.8#. Kinda heavy for an empty box.
I was going to keep things private, but since this is an obvious scam, I don't want to see anyone else on here get burned by this individual.

**Do not do any transactions with the user "BREIT" on this forum. He is a scammer and a thief.**

I always use the UPS Stores. They are required to see the article before they will ship with insurance. If you used UPS directly, check with them about their policy to see if it is the same as the UPS Stores use.

The "hey there is no watch" is an old scam that has been discussed here before. Not taking sides, just stating a fact.

Yeah, he's probably sitting there laughing at this right now.

If I were to try and scam somebody, why didn't I do that to any of the first dozen or so people that emailed me about buying the watch???

I'm guessing that paypal sees this stuff pretty regularly, after all, it's easy to make a claim like this.

I could have a line of character witnesses a mile long. Who's up for administering the first ever breitlingsource polygraph test? :popo:

The member in question purchased a box – an empty Breitling box - right here on BS a while back –
viewtopic.php?t=20560

The member in question suggested that he had been scammed VIA PAYPAL when a seller sold same item to 2 buyers –
“Sorry Guys i was concern about getting scammed again.
I have already been scammed via Paypal with a seller selling 2 buyers 1 same item..
Seems issue is resoved and I got the tracking #.
Will post Feedback
Thanks”

As of April 16,2011, member in question was looking for a chronomat bracelet.

Just some additional facts. For whatever it may be worth.

He never did state his name, which should've been another red flag to me. I haven't done to many online transactions, so I tend to be way to trusting in others. Lesson learned. Here is where it was shipped. Anybody in FL want go pay this scum a visit is fine with me. My proof of delivery receipt shows it was signed by: KATYL

These kinda situations are EXACTLY why I don't ship a watch until the funds have cleared into my bank account!

Seriously though, you should have a remedy through PayPal because of the signature receipt, insurance and weight of the box. Didn't the PayPal funds transfer has the buyers name attached to it or was it this eBay seller business? If it is the eBay business then the arguement about being scammed on PayPal seems really fishy since it seems like a newbie comment, not a eBay reseller business.

There are ways to handle this and the end result should be in your favor. Patience.......

I was worried about that which is why I called paypal and asked them if the funds were safe. They assured me that as long as the money was in my account, that I would be fine. It is because of that, that I went ahead and shipped the watch that day. They should have all these calls recorded, I would think.
The address that I posted was exactly how it showed up on the paypal site.

You may want to start checking ebay to see if your watch shows up there.

Thanks for your help everyone.

Is there a way that I can find out through UPS the weight of the delivered package?

The only weight that shows is the shipping weight. It's with the tracking info on the website.

I am sorry to hear this bud, This is awful to hear. I wont use paypal for any large transactions in the near future. I just don't trust them , not to mention they are now required to disclose and monies you have gotten in the year if over 20k ,and anything over 200 transactions. If I were Shark I would have to pay UNCLE SCAM A PRETTY PENNY. I hope it works out for you bud. I am now leary of selling my Deepsea this week.
