Anyone tried the Breitling website today? The front page is an advert for the "Win a Pilots License" promotion, but there's no way to skip it, so you have to sit through it. However, even AFTER sitting through it, there's still no way I can get to the main site!!! It just sits there.... no "Skip", no "Continue", nothing! I've even tried changing the URL where is says "index2" to "index" or "index1" and it just sits there on the timer.

Is it just me or has everyone got this problem?

EDIT : Update - OK, apparently by typing in "http://www.breitling.com/en/html#/home/", I can now get to the main site. Jeez it's a shambles at times!

EDIT : Update 2 - Scratch that. It get's to the main page and as soon as I click a watch range it just hangs there permanently. It's not my connection as every other site is running just fine. It's just the good ol' Breitling site.

Anyone having issues with it?

Well I just tried it, I skipped the Facebook contest intro, skipped the B'ling intro and went to models. Seems to be working.

I usually don't go to the Breitling site - because as it has been a long-standing complaint for me - I can't stand most watch manufacture sites. They're cumbersome, and slow, and not so easy to navigate. Thus, I won't experience this problem because I hardly ever visit the site. I find these forums have more up to date pics and info :)

They're giving away a pilots license, Air Traffic Controllers are falling asleep, there's no way I'm flying again.

I can't stand Breitling's website. I also hate that so many companies are making the move to social media sites, I'm very anti-social media.

I see skip underneath the facebook contest and skip underneath the normal intro and both are working for me.

Models also seems to be working.

May be a flash issue for you Driver8??

Works fine here. Yeah, could be a flash issue on your end, Driver8.

Hi, it's your screen resolution. My laptop is set to medium res and the two buttons saying "SKIP" to cancel the videos are only just visible at the bottom of mys screen, I can just about click on them. If your resolution is lower, the SKIP buttons are off the bottom of your screen, you can't see them, and you can't click on it. That's the cause!

Changing resolution is the answer, but it does alter the look and feel of just about everything from icons to Word screen and layout.

Terrible site. I avoid it as much as possible. It takes like 5 minutes just to navigate to the section that you want.

:yeahthat

Skip buttons are there for me on both ads, but WTF are they doing front loading two promo videos anyway? It's like they're inviting people to get fed up and leave.

And while I'm on the subject, could the music for that "Win a Pilot's License" video get any more cliche? They should have backed it with Sinatra's "Come Fly With Me." That at least would have been a pleasant surprise.

OK, well today I can get onto the site, but the framing is totally shot and I still can't even see the skip button for the "Pilots license" video thing.

:yeahthat absolutely 100%. Bit off topic (but hey it's my topic), but all I hear these days on the radio here are DJ's going on about "hash-tag" this and "hash-tag" that... I assume it's "# tag", but honestly, what the hell does that mean???? And they go on about getting "hash-tag" XYZ "trending" on Twitter. OK, so "trending"? Anyone? What the heck does that mean? I realise this makes me sound like my my dad, but it all sounds like complete bullsh*t to me, that will only appeal to people who don't shave yet.

I tend not to listen to people who talk about TAGs.

its been like that for two days for me. I google breitling/models or even breitling spain, germany etc. and then change the it back to english on the top of the page. Like its been said many times before breitling's website sucks. Lots of mistakes and tabs/tags that overlap and its always slow. I love to go there and browse but it a pain and usually end up leaving not satisfied. Come on breitling get with the program. . . :poke:

I have never been a big fan of there site either. It definitely has its good days and bad days. I do like the new intro with the young lady in the black dress - when it works, that is.

Cheers,
