I did that because there's 5 Chronomat ref# (6 if you count 13049) prior to Evo.

All these Breitling lists got me thinking  if you could only have one Breitling in your collection what would it be....what's your favorite ling of all time? And price isn't a concern.

EDIT...any Breitling, it doesn't have to be one in your current collection.

I know there are a lot of iconic Breitlings out there but if I could only have one it would be a white dial Navitimer Olympus. To me, that is the perfect Navitimer and the perfect watch.

Wow, that's a tough one Serge. I would have to say the Chronomat GMT. And that's a stretch considering I haven't actually seen one yet...

I had to go look it up, but at least it gave me another reason to look at pics of a great watch.

The Super Mat? Wow...that's a shock!

Somebody has to speak up for the BBs. Although not a pure Breitling, the Motors T Speed in black velvet is the one that does it for me. I do not think Breitling has made a better looking dial. Too bad they just discontinued it.

Breitling 1903 - I know I happen to own one but it really is my favourite. It is everything I look for in a Breilting - has a slide rule, is a pilots watch, great size, date function, great colour...the only thing is lacks is an in-house movement which, now that they are available means the logical other model which now meets all those qualities is the Navi 01 LE. Hmmm.

The only one that interests me is the standard Mark VI - it figures they'd discontinue it. I would be happy to have it, although it wouldn't be the single Ling I would choose to keep.

One, I'd rather have a diver's bezel than a compass bezel, since I can actually use a diver's bezel.

I agree with you on the lugs somewhat, though it's a minor preference and hardly a knock about the design. But the bezel, a diving bezel just wouldn't fit. I have to say the compass is what it should be. I would have to have the BB though, hands down.

Impossible question to answer because all the Breitlings I have owned or still own are darn near equal favorites. That said, if asked which one I would keep if I could have only one, the answer is easy.

Still completely nuts over my Steelfish (and still at least contemplating another color face). For now, that's the one. But, when just the right style, size and color of Navitimer appears at the right time, it will become my favorite. It remains the quintessential Breitling.

I just finally got the one I purchased here back from service. After 2 tries Breitling repaired the watch and it looks great.

This might be my pick for 1 single Breitling. It's so beautiful and seems like a step up in quality compared to some others. I like the simple "vintage-like" 2 sub dial layout. It's a nice symmetrical look. The best thing about the watch is that the chrono has a center seconds, like every other watch, AND center minute counter. It's so easy to see at a glance how long the chrono has been running. I love it!!

Here's a poor quality iPhone pic. It's a lot more beautiful in person. Notice, thought, how easy it is to see the center minute counter. It's the one with the arrow tip.

Hi All!

As For Me It Has To Be The Navitimer 50th Anniversary On The Navitimer Bracelet (Currently Own Silver Dial); In Addition The Navitimer 01 LE On The Navitimer Bracelet (Currently I Do Not Own).

Cheers,

Enezdez

That is a beautiful watch, Pete, no doubt about it.

First must be the Navitimer, despite not being the most typical looking Breitling.
