If it's worth anything...

My friend's girl goes to UCSD and she's already off spring break like a week or two ago. The punk should be going to his classes by now...

One of the main lessons I have learned from this thread is that in the internet age...there is no where to hide. If someone wants to find you they can.

Good luck with the full refund.

That's good to hear, although a refund is the second-best option. I'm still trying to figure out why you offered to sell the watch in the first place, if you didn't intend to send it. Care to explain, or shall we all just assume you intended to scam someone?

Things are indeed not looking good and I would prefer not getting into an argument about it or a debate. There was a small scratch on the crystal which I thought could be buffered out by a jeweler but it was through the AR coating and the crystal needs to be replaced. However small it is still present.

As I said before, things are being resolved through Raymond and I.

:yeahthat Maybe they will ground him or put him on a time-out!

Seriously, glad to hear that this is being worked out and hopefully a full refund is made promptly.

I wasn't looking for an argument so much as an explanation as to how something like this happened, and to give you a chance to say what's what. Most members here have already assumed the worst, so you can't do any worse by explaining yourself. I know this specific transaction is between you and Raymond, but the general honesty and forthrightness of sales on this board affects anybody on this forum who looks to trade with other members. I think all of us will feel better knowing it was a good-faith screw-up, rather than an overt attempt at thievery. At any rate, I hope it all gets worked out.

Guys, I think we should just let this one lie for the time being. MPHL has agreed to refund the money to Raymond147, so hopefully he's going to be true to his word this time : I'm sure Raymond147 will inform us of developments either way.

I'm not personally sure what there is to be gained by asking for an explanation - no-one in their right mind is going to stand up and say, "Yes I knowingly tried to defraud/steal from someone", so whatever reasons are given I'm sure most people will take it with pinch of salt anyway. IMO the most important thing right now is that Raymond gets his money back, and anything else is entirely in Raymond's court. Just my opinion.

Good point. I wouldn't have bothered at all if he'd remained silent. However, since he actually posted in the thread, it seemed he was showing an interest in making some sort of a mea culpa, presumably so he can still show his face around here. If he wants to remain a member in good stand (assuming that's even possible), he'll need to appease more than just Raymond. But practically speaking, I guess you're right.
