Not a fan I'm afraid. I hate rubber bezels and the new SO is just too small for me at 42mm.

Personally not my thing, but if you are used to the size and feel of a Superocean the look is certainly a change of pace.
As always, how you like it matters most. I do think that look is nice with the rubber band. BTW, I thought that the new lineup would include a 44mm version of this? I'm sure someone here will know. If so, I'd be curious to see how the additional face size would handle the comparatively large arabics.

I think it has a very sporty look to it. The size is reasonable at 42mm. In fact, I was just at an AD this morning (two actually) and I saw this model in all the other colors - red, white, black, and yellow - but blue was the only one I did not see. If I were to purchase this model I think the blue would be my choice, on an ocean racer strap (polished bracelet is too blingy for me).

If you like it, go for it!

That's correct, Breitling is coming out with a 44mm version.

I think it does look sporty, I would prefer it on a diver pro w/deployant. I can't say I would do blue, probably yellow as it's Ling's traditional color. 42mm is a good size for actually using it during activities vs 44mm for posing. Wrist size is relevant ofc. That being said, the huge disparity between the dial and date wheel fonts make it a no go for me.

You know I don't mind the SO in the right perspective. It's sporty and for diving, probably great with jeans or boardshorts and that's it. Nothing wrong with a watch that clearly has one obvious function. A rubber strap would suit it well.

Yeah, I didn't mind the SOII at all as a distinct model - why not have something different? But now that it is part of a quasi-range, not liking it at all.

Thanks for the comments guys, a bit to think about there.
I guess when they go off the tried and tested path they will always divide the market a little.

Its definitely this, a BB or SA ....... too much choice !! :D

Is this confirmed? They are coming out with the same EXACT watch, but in 44mm?

Ok...I saw that one, but it is not the exact same Roff. The dial is different on this one, and appears to be the replacement for the SOSF since it only had the numerals at 6,9,12.

Actually only at 6 & 9, but it was announced as the 44mm version of the SO II. I guess they made it slightly different styling just so that it wasn't just a size difference.
