Just beautiful, and I'm coming quickly to the conclusion that the Steelfish is one of the best looking Breitlings I have ever seen. So much so, that after seeing pictures that Sharkman took of a black 'fish on a croc or leather band (can't remember which) I once again put off buying a Navitimer to get what I think was the last new blue Steelfish in town. He bought the last white faced one in town. The more I wear my blue one, the more I fall head over heels for it. Your pics make me wonder if maybe I should have more than one color.

Good for you Scott that you've got that blue Steelfish. Having the Fishie in more than one color, hmmm, that's not a bad idea, in fact, it's one that I totally agree with.

:cheer: Steelfish :cheer:

I have to agree with you Tomcat, I have been thinking about getting a black face for a while now and Sharkman's pictures are really pushing my buttons. Going to have to fight the urge as my watch fund is a little dry at the moment.
Best health, Frank.

And by the way, Shark, I know you're lurking out there, I don't think we ever got a pic of your new white 'Fish on a blond strap. Some incredible DJ2 got in the way, I know, but this seems like the right place for it--once Photobucket is back up. Pleeease?

OK a pic at the request of Scott, but after looking at some recent pics on this thread, I'm embarrased to do so! White Steelfish on Gold croco in lousy lighting and with zero creativity -

It maybe in lousy lighting and with zero creativity but your Fishie looks really great Tom. One of the best combos IMO.

Looks good on the croc. I do not think the Fish looks bad on anything.
Thanks for the post and photo.
Best health, Frank.

All of you guys who are, rightfully, considering a SteelFish need to remember that these are now discontinued.

If you see them at your local AD grab them. A future collectable I reckon.

...and that's exactly what I did. Great look and, respectively, great bang for the buck I think. When I have a moment I'll make Shark feel better and exhibit my own sketchy photographic skills.

I asked for Tom's photo in part because I see a fair amount of black 'fish up for resale, a few blues, but fewer whites. It's a great look. Indeed, if you want new, now's the time.

So here's my new 'fish, with what I can do with a camera phone. It's blue, but in the daylight the AR coating can give it a gunmetal hue. I think the reflection, from shade from the roof to light from the window and sunroof, show the different hues pretty well.

Nicely done Scott.

Seems the always popular Steelfish is already starting to gain cult status now that it has been discontinued. It may be the only Breitling about which I do not recall an owner having negative comments. It is the one watch that made me look at Breitling. (though one could argue the Steelfish cost me a bunch of dinero  )

Compared to late last night's pic, not much better, but at least an accurate representation of color –
