Holy cow Driver 8 is rich!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

House worth several thousand Breitlings - let's think - even at an average price of GBP2,500, and if "several" is only 3 - that's a GBP7.5mln home.

Car worth a few hundred - well that's getting on for a GBP1mln car.

 Touché Roff! Firstly, I only work in finance..... I never claimed to be able to add up! (Or indeed take any time to think my posts through! You really should know that by now! ) And secondly may I draw the honourable gentleman to my line -

That obviously goes double for my figures! Making the figures up as I go along is exactly how I get my projects approved! And making them up incorrectly is why I come in under budget!

You know I'm fairly well known in project management circles, I can point you at some great articles (or better yet, charge you exorbitant consulting fees) to help you make it up with more consistency.

And if anyone cares any more.......

This morning I'm back on the gotta get it side of the fence.

Oh and just for the cause - :canada

But then I might actually start producing CBA's that might stack up! Or worse still, my CBA's might start putting me under some budgetary pressure! Thanks Roff, but wildly over-estimating and then coming in under budget makes me look good!

lol this is such a great thread.

Roff - I support you in whatever choice you make! (this puts me out of the realm of responsibilty should you decide you made a bad choice.. or perhaps it makes me responsible regardless of what choice you make?)

And speaking of flags :canada: who here feels his/her country should be represented? I realized I only put a few flags (the only ones I found) but I can make more!

I can't believe that I'm supporting this further hijacking of my mental angst - flags indeed

Both of my citizenships are already represented, but if you have time for flags then I want my club badges:

24 hour dial club
Bare ass club, I mean Exhibition Back club
2 Breitlings in one day club
Two tone club (maybe, ok probably)

:D

As a (by birth) 3/4 English, 1/4 Welsh guy with Scottish names I feel entitled to stir the pot here......

There is a Scottish flaq - it's part of the Union Jack.

If the cross of St. Andrew is going to be represented then we need the cross of St. George as well, and I suppose the Welsh dragon and that 'almost' St. George for Ulster.

Looks like admin is going to be busy!

Ok, so here's the deal.......

I was faced with the prospect of making a decision and living with it or continuing to tear my hair out until I had left it too long and the decision was made for me.

I appreciate all of the comments on here, but Sportback is right, it has to be my decision, for me. So given that I am fortunate enough to be able to afford to do it, it really came down to whether the $1,100 I would save was worth the personal guilt of buying it now vs. 8 months from now.

For all the joking, my wife is very supportive and isn't going to give me a hard time whichever decision I made, so I basically came to the realisation that all I was doing was beating myself up unnecessarily.

So, for $7,100 (13% taxes included) I have got a TT Havana dial Legende, a great deal as is, but they have given me a year to pay (I left a deposit for now), although we all know that it isn't going to be that long!!, I am also getting one of the Breitling wooden boxes thrown in and they are going to do a complimentary professional polishing on my Cockpit.

Pictures will obviously have to wait until I pick it up, but there you have it. The good name of BreitlingSource has been restored (per the other thread) and after much grief and cajoling over the months I am finally a member of the Full Ling club (almost), although I am not renouncing my PCACBORC membership.

Thanks to all of you that have been talking me down from (or over) the edge on this one.

Whatever's right for you must be the right decision - well done, although I personally don't like that particular model (Sorry!). I'm only sorry that my 'advice' sounded so pompous - it was sincerely meant, and I would say the same if the situation arose.

Enjoy it!!!

PS: If they're going to polish your cockpit, d'you think they'd hoover my office ??
