I have to say that the Steelfish does seem like the toughest Breitling, Divers in general are tougher as opposed to pilot watches or of cource dress watches.

ian, I agree that the Rolex Sub has got to be the toughest watch ever made.

I actually dont think the sea dweller is any different than the sub as far as the case goes.

Now the new SD Deepsea might come with an optional turret :D

Cant wait for september, should get my Deep Sea by then.

Sea-Dweller is a thicker case, has a thicker sapphire (4mm compared with 2.5mm) and no nasty date magnifier

case is quite different indeed

however, the Deep-Sea will be an absolute stunner, we are totally agreed on that!

Did not know that about the SD, thought it just had a deeper depth rating.

I think this thread has been thouroughly hijacked, time to move to another

My 24 year old Pluton is pretty tough. It's been in two airplane crashes over the years. In the second crash the bracelet broke, but Breitling put it to rights.

I'm also a big into sailboat racing so this watch is always getting banged around and submersed in saltwater.

nah ken, its too big to be tough, ie, you bash it on every passing doorhandle/desk etc....that said, it is one helluva lump of iron and one of the essentials in any breitling collection.

I agree that the Avenger Seawolf is one tough watch.

As for the SA, I agree with Doctor Diesel, Its so big that I bang it off everything! Although it hasn't been damaged yet (Touch wood) so I guess it is fairly tough! :D

So are you still a pilot after two crashes?

Anything you walk away from is a good day of flying, but after two crashes I think God was on yourt side telling you not to fly again.
