People, how much longer are we going to kick this dead horse. The market place will decide if the new path chosen is the correct way or the wrong way. If you don't like the styles of Breitling's new watches than don't buy them.

Frank, I can't speak for anybody else, but I'm not posting with any hope that the policy makers at Breitling will see what I write and take my opinions (or the aggregate of opinions on this board) into account when making policy decisions. This is a board for Breitling fans, by Breitling fans, to discuss Breitlings. Well, we're discussing Breitlings here, aren't we? Expressing displeasure over the direction the brand is taking is every bit as legitimate an avenue of discussion as expressing enthusiasm. And let's face it: if the brand isn't giving us stuff to be enthusiastic about, we'll be expressing our displeasure about it. Topics typically resolve of their own momentum. If people are continuing to discuss them, it's because people still have things to say about them. I would redirect your own advice back at you: you say if the watches bother us, we should just not buy the watches. Well, if our discussion bothers you, just don't read it. You can always unsubscribe from the thread.

Yea, I knew when I pushed "Submit" I was making a mistake. I will take your advice and stay out of this conversation, just know I was not trying to change anyone's opinion or be confrontational. Accept my apology for not understanding the dynamic of the Forum. Enjoy all, catch you another time.
Best health, Frank

Frank, there is no need for you to appologize. You offered an opinion and a valid one at. I have been known to be confrontational but Jackson constantly quotes people, picks apart their words, and it's starting to annoy even me...and we all know I'm pretty opinionated.

You're one of the few polite guys on here and i enjoy reading your comments....don't worry about it....I think we all need to see some shots of that beautiful BEB to see what a proper Breitling is supposed to look like!!

OK, this is a thread about our opinions – ALL OF THEM – about the direction taken by a brand we admire. The whole point is to see WHAT DIFFERENT OPINIONS THER ARE and HOW PASSIONATE OR LUKE WARM ARE THOSE OPINIONS.

The length of this thread shows there is not only considerable passion, but legitimate differences of personal opinion.

But the premise is there can are no wrong answers – just INDIVIDUAL OPINIONS of personal taste which by their nature are subjective and always correct.

Here’s what I’ve read in a nutshell – (1) Breitling SUCKS!, (2) Breitling RULES!, (3) Eh, not happy but let’s wait and see, (4) There are one or two I like but not pleased with the rest. (5) Who gives a rip? We are just talking watches here, (6) Enough already!

All 100% correct opinions for each holder of the opinion.

One thing I sometimes forget and each time I do it bites me in the butt – opinions on matters of personal taste do not admit of debate.

For my part, I'm tickled (pink?) I finally started a thread that out distanced the Breitling Boxer thread.

Well said Sharky. I totally agree.

This place is entirely built on opinions, and it's nothing without them. So Frank, there's no need whatsoever to apologise for voicing your opinion.

(PS - When I said there was plenty of mileage in this thread, I was just kidding so if you took it the wrong way, then it's my place to apologise.)

OK, let me clarify what I meant, since I can see I was a bit harsh in my rejoinder. Frank, I'm not telling you not to contribute to the discussion. I guess it's a matter of perspective whether, "Stop talking about this," is a helpful contribution to any discussion. From my own perspective, if there's an active conversation on this board that I think is pointless, and the only contribution I could make is to say it is pointless, I stay out of it, because obviously the people who are engaged in it do see a point to it. As Tom points out, though, "Enough already," is a valid opinion, although it is paradoxical, since by offering that opinion, you are continuing the coversation. Either way, I certainly welcome your input as it relates to the topic being discussed, and I didn't mean to imply that I did not.

Thanks Sharkman, mfserg,Driver8,& JacksonStone, for your comments. I wanted to make it clear that I am not here to try to derail any conversation by anyone. As JacksonStone stated quite honestly, if I did not want to take part and was that annoyed then I could very easily "check out". At issue for me for a long, long time is that I have a problem with talking things, and this is my view, to death. Just ask my wife of 41 years, I make my point, listen to hers and I am done, not necessarily her accepted methodology. I enjoy the opinions of all here even if I don't use the same open form of discussion, (see "wife"above).
Anyway, I am not that easy to get rid of, again see "wife", so I will still be here as a thorn in someone's side.
Thanks again, Best health, Frank :poke:

mfserg: oldie but haven't shot anything new.

I voted No. 3, as I believe I would need to see the new offerings in person , insted of in the pics, before making a decision. One more thing, style is a very subjective word and even the Buck Rogers(term correct? :D ) font of the B01 is not without its own merit. :cheer:

Frank I still love your pictures but continue to hate you because I can't do that. I'm working on it though.

(here is the level of my patience - I was bugged by the jumble of wires behind the entertainment hutch. They have been that way since October and I can't SEE them, but I know they are there! Soon I was tugging and pulling indiscriminately in a furious attempt to straighten things out. Having put it all neatly back together I settled in full of pride and sweat to watch the first Final Four Semi. No sound! No sound?!? Two hours later, I was able to listen to the last 2 minutes of the game! And the wires look pretty much the same as they did yesterday.)
