Man I can't tell you guys how much i am loving this watch!!!! Great attention to detail that simply CANT be had anywhere else at this price range!!! It's available online for under 2k USD. That's what I call a deal!!!

I love the case, I love the size, I love the red tipped seconds hand, I love the incredible depth rating, I just adore this watch!!!!

I am certainly in agreement with you on that one! The only watch I like better at the moment is my Blacksteel. I have ordered an Ocean Racer strap for the Steelfish, and when it arrives I shall have a hard time choosing between the two.
You are absolutely right about the value! I can certainly tell by the enthusiasm in your posting. For very little more than a regular SuperOcean, or even a Colt, you get a bigger watch (44mm) and also a wider strap (22mm as opposed to 20mm), an overall heftier appearance on the wrist. The dial is amazing, with the circular hour markers it is rather unique.
Although I do like it with the stainless bracelet, I will prefer the look of the rubber, being a great fan of Breitling rubber straps. Of course, if it's got a black dial like mine, it brings out the blackness of the dial.
Cheers,
Carl

The Steelfish is a nice piece and excellent value in the price range. I owned a silver/cream dial first generation Steelfish (42mm) and then sold it for a black dial second generation version (44mm) and loved them both. "Unfortunately" I then found the SA, and next to that the Steelfish just looked a little small (and I happen to like my Breiltings polished), so he had to go.

Great piece all the same though.

I tried a white faced steelfish on last week at an AD in France. it had the new Red Ocean racer strap on it - the watch looked gorgeous and very bold on the red strap! This really is a syou say a fine watch!

Of course I am biased. But I like the Steelfish so much that I will soon have two of them ( have the second one on its way here with a different dial color). It is hands down, IMO, the very best buy of all the Breitlings. I cant stop looking at mine and am still amazed at the detail and quality construction.

I admit bias but agree completely -- got a black dial steelfish a couple of months ago and love it. Enjoy yours!

Anybody else notice that the bezel pearl has a tiny AR coated saphire crystal? Dang!

I have to admit I am thinking of adding another to the ranks, maybe a black dial on an ocean racer to justify buying the same watch twice they have to be a bit different at least.

I wholeheartedly encourage that kind of behaviour Altair! It's surprising how different the same model can look if you go for both a different dial and a different bracelet/strap.

Why am I not surprised?

I think I might try and make a Steelfish lovers badge. Maybe use the picture from this blog:

I own it as well and I love it! I just swapped out the bracelet for a black leather strap and everyone at work keeps asking me if I got a new watch!

I'm the crazy "watch guy" at work...Everytime someone walks by my desk I'm either on Breitling Source, or some other online watch store looking at Breitlings!
