Thanks for all of the replies guys. I think I will definitely hold on to the B01. I didn't even think about adding a different band. Is that something I can change myself, or does it have to be done at the AD? BTW, the limited edition B01 is amazing looking... wish I could convince the wife to let me get that one!

Ir you are anyway handy with your hands you can change it yourself in a few minutes. All you have to do is be careful not to scratch any part of the lungs or bracelet. You will need a Bergeon 6767F springbar tool which can be picked up off the Bay. Do a search here or for the excellent BreitlingSource videos on youtube to be view a step by step video on how to do so.

You can change bracelets/bands yourself, if you know how and have the right tools. If you don't, you might want to have your AD do it. As mentioned, you will want to be careful not to scratch anything.

BTW, the term B01 is no longer in use. As of now, Breitling is still referring to the watch as the Chronomat 01, but it appears that with the new models introduced this year, the name is going to be Chronomat 44, taking it as a given that all Chronomats will have the 01 movement, but distinguishing the larger Chronomat from the newer 41mm Chronomat.

another vote for the B01. When you wear it regularly the light daily scratches will very quickly dull the bling of the watch. You're prob not use to a polished watch & that's why it seems too dressy.

.5 only because when the 406 freq is available I will most likely get one and keep what I already have.
