Been looking to add my third B to the mix recently and I pulled the trigger today.

The incoming model is a LE of 1000 and has a radical dial design.

You got it...the Chronomatic 24H LE. This is one of the most interesting watches Breitling has done in my opinion, and with the change in design direction I feel pretty comfortable sticking with late model designs.

I am a sucker for a deal, and this watch sure offers a lot for the dollar. I ended up settling on $2600, which is the same I paid for my Navi (thanks again RJRJRJ), and this includes the bracelet and the LE aspect.

Upon checkout I also received a $100 through a paypal coupon, so my deal got sweetened eveen further.

By the end of the week the stable will include a standard Navi, SOH 46, and the Cmatic 24. As you can see my tastes run towards the modern reincarnations of classic watches. That being said...I am seeing the Transocean Chrono as the missing link to a very retro and functional collection. For now through I am just going to enjoy the two I have and the one incoming.

Congrats and sounds like a hell of a deal.

How's you manage 2600 for this?! Same goes for a standard Navi? Those are steals!

The seller mentioned buying it on the bay sometime back, so I went through his purchases and offerd what he paid even though he listed it at $3,000. After the 10% off (max $100) ebay coupon I actually have some funds left over to take the little lady out this week. hahah

All total I have paid spot on $7K for my whole collection. Pretty good for a bracelet, leather and rubber option. NOw I just have to throw a crocco on the Navi.

Nice pickup. I came across a very, very good deal on one about a year ago but wasnt really in the market and passed up on it. Its one of the models that I think looks terrible in photos, but really nice in person.

Congrats! Great choice......and I'm jealous you only have to wait a week! I'm about a week away from a hostage situation.......my wait is taking awhile.

Not for lefties, My understanding was the original Chronomatic engineering required the crown to be on the left. This version is a homage to that model.

At the point that this LE was produced all Chrono-matics had always had left hand crowns, it was only with the CM49 that Breitling dumped 40 years of history

The original left hand crown was a mechanical necessity to get everything insider the movement allowing for the micro rotor that made the 1969 Chrono-matic the first automatic chronograph.

They are 44mm, I actually find mine wears a bit bigger.
