There are some great non chrono Breitlings but they are (to me) a bit like Wham.

I appriciate that they are good and that they hit the target market perfectly but...why can I not get excited about them?

Are you referring to George Michael's Wham?

Anyway, I agree...I think. Breitling seems to do the Chrono thing much better than the non-chrono.

Interesting. Perhaps it has to do with your preferences regarding busyness (completeness if you will) of the dial and the presence of the pushers. If you boil it down, a non-chrono is the simplest form of a watch. It just tells you the time and maybe date. Sometimes there is beauty in simplicity. Beauty will always be in the eye of the beholder. Not my picture below, but for a non-chrono I think it looks spectacular.

I see what you saying but, for me at least, it's just that Breitling's non-chrono's leave something to be desired. My PO is probably my favorite watch ever, I think I like it more than my BB  , and it's as simple as you can get. I love the Rolex Exp II, especially the new one, and that's pretty plain other than an extra hand. I think part of my problem with Breitling's non-chrono's is that they're so big and thick. But then again I hate the SOII because it feels too small, so I really don't know what's going on.. The Steelfish was my favorite non-chrono Breitling and now it's gone and I'm pretty sure I'll be dissapointed by whatever replaces it.

Thats what I am afraid of too. I am sooo happy with my Fish if there is a new one out I'm having it. That said if its any thing like the SOII or CSOII...As they say in Dragons Den...I'm out.
