I'm really having the itch for another watch, I almost picked up a new PAM 111 but just didn't feel up to spending that much. I cant find a preowned sandwich dial Pam111 for $3500, so I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a mechanical watch thats $3000 and under. Thanks for your time.

That's a pretty wide category - mechanical under $3k.

Are you looking specifically for a '111 like' watch or are we talking sport vs. dive vs. ?, chrono vs. time only, etc

I just picked up a used Rolex DateJust 18K/ SS, for an extremely low price from it's original owner. I am not saying a DateJust is right for you, but a used Submariner or SeaDweller may be of interest. Rolex makes great watches and they hold their value real well. Look at used watches...let someone else take the hit for buying new.

Panerai's don't do much for me but happy hunting.

Anonimo, perhaps? Or a B&R, as Fear has suggested.

Or stretch to the 111, if that's the one you want. You won't lose a lot of money if you decide to sell it in future.

EDIT - some Anonimos here, including one with a bronze case at 50% off:

B&R has a similar strap culture to PAM, and you could put the money saved towards that aspect. Plus the size and uniqueness are similar.
