I recently purchased a 2009 model Cockpit, a model I have been looking at for some time for a more dressy (for me) look, yet also can be sporty looking IMO. I don't usually buy polished bracelets but made an exception this time. It sure is shiny :wowzers .

The black dial can take on a different hue, almost navy blue looking at times.

Very nice. The Cockpit, especially the black dial is the perfect cross-over watch IMO. Dressy enough to be worn with anything, yet not out of place with a T-shirt and jeans. Recently got a NOS pre-2009 black dial one with the lume on the roman numeral 12. Love it.

Congrats.

Everytime I see one of these I am reminded of how nicely done they are. Just a great versatile watch.

Your pics really highlight the pillow center. Looks great

In the interest of equal time for the pre-2009 dial, two quick pics on a cloudy, rainy day in the desert.

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone.

Great pics from Ian.... and Shark... also! Didn't know there were more of these around the forum. Guess you just got to pull them out of the 'woodwork' .

I'm thinking of a black leather or croc strap for it also. Will be wearing it with a black Tux in April for a special event. What do you all think, strap or bracelet for formal event?

Thanks, Terry.

Bracelet or black croco. I find the calf straps a bit casual, but then that's just me. Never been accused of being a stylista.

I think black croc would look outstanding with a tux.
Tuxedos are supposed to be understAted and I think a polished bracelet is not that. JMO
