I have a Super Avenger , and an assortment of straps to go along with my Pro II bracelet. I really like the bracelet that comes with the Bentley a lot more. I priced it, and it is quite a bit more expensive than the Pro II. Is there an obvious reason for this that I am missing ?? :?:

Short answer is yes, there is a reason.

The Speed bracelet (the one on the Bentley) is a five row bracelet which has more parts and is therefore more expensive to manufacture than the Prof 2. It would be more correct to compare the price of the Speed to the price of the Pilot as it is also a five row bracelet. You can still expect the Speed to be more expensive that the Pilot as the Bentley name carries a premium that the consumer pays for.

Please do not assume that it will fit.

Size wise they are the same. The curve of the link where it attaches to the watch may not look as well. You make a good point.

It's not just the interlug size rather it it the watchead geometry that matters (where the springbars locate).

Very true. I did not think about that.

Mostly correct. I tried this the other year, and the Speed bracelet will attach to the SA just fine, but it doesn't hang quite right at the lugs. The end links touch the case and it means the bracelet doesn't have enough movement at the case -

It looks like the screw isn't screwed in all the way and is preventing the bracelet from moving. Once I noticed the same thing on my Motors T. I screwed it all the way in and the bracelet moved fine.

Also it has a quick adjustment in the deployant for those humid days. This feature really come in handy and should be a standard feature on all bracelets. Also, the speed bracelet does not have the fine adjustment holes drilled all the way though. The clasp looks much nicer that way. As a matter of fact, I don't like the ways the holes look on other bracelets after owning this one.

I think DHalem posted that he bought a new navitimer bracelet for his Navi 01 which had the same features that the speed bracelet has. Maybe Breitling is upgrading it's bracelets.

All Breitling bracelets already have it, the new 01 bracelets simply move to the Bentley style of adjustment where the spring bar holes aren't visible from the outside of the clasp.

I'm sure the screw not being screwed in would cause a similar effect, but it's not the case in this instance as the screw was fully screwed in. The problem is the profile of the end-link. It's just not slim enough to fully rotate between the case and the springbar.

That what I meant that the holes aren't visible from the outside. I think it's a much cleaner look.

In addition though, the speed bracelet has a quick adjust link on the inside. You can adjust the size by about 2mm on the fly. That's a great feature and should be standard on all breitling bracelets.

I agree. The bracelet on the Rolex GMTIIc has that, and it's a nice feature. The new Submariner goes one better with a fully adjustable clasp, allowing a full range of adjustability on the fly. Either one would be nice to see in Breitling bracelets.
