I had to select "DST is in effect" for mine to be correct. No change in the actual UTC +/-.

If you do that while not in DST time, it will move the forum's clock 1 hour ahead.

Correct. I'm assuming the forum clock is actually based on the UTC instead of the individual users computer clock. When you choose your time zone it is adding or subtracting as the case may be from the actual utc time. By checking the daylight saving option, it then advances the time by one hour and reverts to "normal time" in the fall when once again you have to uncheck it.

Mine changed automatically, since I previously had the "Yes" radio button selected for summer DST.

My time matches my computer time. The question I have is about the time listed on posts. Is it the time that the poster posts in his time zone or just a standard time zone that BS is set to. It's always off compared to my time.

That's what I've been saying since the beginning, DST or no DST.

The time listed on posts is the time that the poster posts in his time zone, at least for me.

But if someone, say from LA, posts something, it's listed on his time zone for him, but at my time zone for me.

Ex: he posts at 9 pm for him and listed as such but it shows 6 am for me.

I've seen posts with a time ahead of my time. ??

I do not know where you're based but if you're, say, in Europe and the post is from Down Under, well it's ahead of your time

OK guys, DST time for us here. Guess I did not pay that much attention last year. So:

As said by some members, I had to clinch DST YES for the forum's time to be exact. Then DST appears on the top and bottom right corner next to the time.

However, if the DST YES stays permanently clinched all year round as other members suggested, then the time of the forum will not be correct during winter time.

As they say in French, an admitted error is half excused.
