Well if it's real I've never seen anything like it. Looks more like a rebranded 70s quartz from one of the other brands, but not an obvious redial - weird.

Hi Stuart, I was going to say probably real due to the quality of the branding on the buckle. But since the Roffmesiter has doubts, I'll withdraw that assessment.

Vintage pieces are very difficult to verify, unless they make obvious mistakes, like using the Wings and Anchor logo on a watch that originates long before 1984 (the date the logo was created). Since the current incarnation of the Breitling company was started in 1979, they themselves may be a limited authority on vintage pieces.

I think that the bracelet is real, and I an't honestly point out that something specific is wrong with this. I have in the darkest annals of my mind a feeling that I have seen something similar, but can't find it - when I think early quartz, the early Navitimer LED springs to mind.

edit - sometimes you need to check the obvious. It's in Richter

Here's a listing for a similar one with a copy of an Ad from 1976. This guy wants €3500 for his. That's a awful lot of money for something that looks like a Casio.

Richter value is $100- $150, that's low, but not that low!

That seller is one of the names that BreitlingMuseum sells under since being banned by eBay
