Hi all. I think I already posted on this forum some time ago but lost my login. Anyway, here are a few pictures of my cherished Blackbird I purchased on Christmas 2008 with dk brown alligator 22/18 vintage strap from a new old stock Montbrillant, and with a 'british racing green' alligator 22/20 original strap I just acquired a few days ago. It is rumored that a BB 01 might be launched this year, but as much as the new bezel looks french chic and elegant on the more dressy Chronomat, it would be a mess on the sportier, more technical/sober Blackbird. Perhaps bold italic numbers in the Superocean style would fit nicely?
Best,
Ted

It was 1993, I was still a teenager but knew I had to have it. I would stand there, looking at it for a long time, sparkling in its dark green calf strap so I gathered all my savings and 'borrowed' my dad's credit card for the completion of the sum and from then on, I became a Breitling owner for life.

I Love the Blackbird. Never saw a post of it on a brown strap. Good look, I like it. I am thinking of getting a Black waterproof leather on my BEB for the summer. You just cost me some cash as I now have to get some more straps. Yours looks great.
As for me, please post more photo's of your collection.
Best health, Frank

Thanks, Frank. In my opinion dark brown alligator is the best blend of style and sportiness on the Blackbird, very masculine too. They say Blackbird fans are like a cult within Breitling fans, well... there's something hypnotic, almost mystical about that big date and the distribution of elements around it. Anyway, between the Antares and BB there was a 2001 two-tone Chronomat with blue dial which wound up shattered while dirtbiking in Belgium a few years ago >.<

Thanks Frank :) I somehow find this combo more Bentley-ish than the Bentley collection itself.

Ha ha, well said and at a fraction of the price, too.

Also, being a strap man, I always found the BB better looking with an alligator strap than with a bracelet.

Very cool pics BTW, thanks for sharing.
