After my 'where to go next?' thread, I think I've somewhat converged on either:
1) Two watches, a Big Pilot 5001 and a JLC Reverso Squadra
2) One watch, an AP ROO Blue Themes

What would you do? I'm still working up mentally to paying AP prices for a single watch...

If it were me, probably option 2. I'm just not a Reverso fan (although I appreciate its heritage etc).

Still love the BP though, the horror stories about its timekeeping haven't put me off although they have made me wary. I recall reading somewhere else that you have a 7-day Portuguese that hadn't had any trouble, so you might be more relaxed about the movement. I assume you mean 5004 by the way?

Totally agree with Otto about the Reverso; I appreciate it but I just can't get into it. As much as I love the BP, and would love to get one, I think it is a little too similar to the 5001...i'd go with the AP no doubt between those two options.

Well, I'm partial to the pilot styles so the BP would be my choice if I could pull off the size. The other two options just aren't my cup of tea.
Good luck with your decision!

Im with both of you for the most part, but the squadra has the squarer case thats not so narrow and tall like the regular ones. Its got a good look to it.

EDIT: Id still go with the AP though :cheer:

Well I'm not a big fan of the Reverso but I do like the BP, even if the movement is questionable. On the other hand, after, looking at your collection I think that an AP ROO would be a better addition and really add something you your collection. If you only had one or two watches I'd say go for the two, but the ROO would add something different.

Or this one.

I'm planning to get a bracelet. I generally find them more comfortable on smaller watches. Also I've found it's much harder to source a bracelet after the fact than it is to source a strap.

I don't think I dig the silver themes.

Between the AP dials I like the panda, those red accents give it a more sporty look.
