Dont know about the size but it small

Try the search function, top right hand side: this was from an earlier post
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Avatars are usually made up or taken from a web site via save picture as...
In order to get the image you want to fit you need a photo editor like photoshop and reduce the size, change the format, anything to make the file the smallest it can be without loosing too much of the quality.
I took mine from a google image search, opened it up in photoimpact (similar to photoshop) resized it, saved it as a low quality jpeg.
You can just google "(fill in the blank) avatars" too. I just searched "Far Side avatars" and got pages and pages to peruse through.
Yeah, the size permitted is tiny. I usually have to resize the image several times before it is accepted.
A little trick... Hit the print screen button located on your keyboard.... Paste it in The Paint Program... Crop it to your desired size then save. This will give you the smallest size possible! If that doesn't work....nothing will! :lingsrock: good luck and let me know how it turns out for you!
If you have photoshop open your file in photoshop then follow the following sequences:
1- Click File
2- Save for Website
3- New screen will pop up; change the width to 80, height will automatically adjust
4- Change Gif to Jpeg
5- Change quality to 90%
6 - Click OK and save with a new name
Your file should now be small enough to be used as your avatar. If it isn't going back in and reduce the quality until the file is small enough to fit.
