Hello All,
I’m new to this forum and this is my first post, I’m a Breitling serious enthusiast and I need your help in evaluating a pre-owned Blackbird (A13350)
that is currently in the market listed on eBay as you can see here .

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280638466792&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:CA:1123

I live in Ontario Canada and the seller lives 20 minutes away from me so the plan is to finish the transaction, in person, when everyone is happy after authenticating the watch at the Breitling authorized dealer in our area.
I need your help guys in answering two questions:
1-Does the post and the pics looks legit to the serious pros eyes that you guys have and is the asking price seems reasonable (giving that the condition of the watch is honestly represented by the pics in the post) ?
2-What are the questions that I should ask the seller to help evaluate the real condition of the watch ?

I would really appreciate your guidance and looking forward to hear back from you.

Watch is real but discontinued in 2004, so it doesn't date to 2005! Price is dependant on when the service was performed (assuming that the service box is from a service on this watch). The watch is 7 - 10 years old so should have had at least one service and may be approaching a need for a second by now and that's going to run $500+ which makes a big difference on value.

Question 2 here covers value - http://www.breitlingsource.com/articles_faq.shtml#8, but that price is too high.

I would be wanting to understand when the service was performed and why there are no papers, but I'm guessing that this guy is a dealer and won't know. Make sure that you test the chronograph out - start stop and reset and reset from a stop position both before and after 30 seconds on the chrono seconds (so that it resets both clockwise and anti-clockwise).

Also run through a full month using the quick set date to make sure that the date wheel isn't damaged - the date should be centred in the window for every day.
