If an AD can't match grey market price on that watch, they can certainly come close enough. That warranty is definitely worth a few hundred bucks. The watch is too expensive to be (potentially) repaired by some guy in Brooklyn/Queens who works on Tags, Movado, or whatever else happens to be sent in that week.

If you were buying quartz, it might not matter quite so much.......Auto, get the warranty.

I would buy from Costco with no problem. They will stand by what they sell you. I purchased a Tag Heuer Link from them a couple of years ago. After about 18 months, it stopped keeping time correctly. It got really fast for some reason. I took it back to them, and after looking up my purchase record, they gave me in store credit for the full purchase price. I proceeded to go buy another Tag Heuer. The one that I shop at always has at least 1-2 Breitlings for amazing prices.

The lesson I've learned is you should ask! Before I even heard back from the AD I wrote to I had pretty much decided his quote would be too high, and I contacted one of the larger gray market dealers about a 6.75. Later that day I got a phone with a quote for the 6.75 speed that was so close to the gray dealer I would have been a fool not to take it. On a watch valued in the thousands to not go with a reliable source that can offer a full Breitling warranty for the sake of a handful of hundreds, would be crazy. I sent half the payment today to get the order processed, and am looking forward to my 3rd Breitling purchase, and my first from an AD. :uplaugh:
