Recently Bigger, Heavier is better.. I personally like but fashion is fashion.

I certainly like them bigger than 38mm, but my limit seems to be around 42mm, although I agree with you that wrist geometry is a significantly determining factor. My personal taste aside, though, my point was mainly that the big/chunky/heavy trend is fairly recent, and given that it is ongoing, perhaps we don't have enough perspective to determine if that style is definitively Breitling, or a temporary shift in their style direction. I still get wistful when I look at Chronomats of old.

Some good points brought up there guys. I must say that the Super Avenger range are the best fully polished with the pro2 bracelet is to my taste. The super Avenger pic in this thread is awesome, my first was just like that but i had the black face, mind you some people thought it was blue because of the anti reflection treatments. I have a black on black now, the 2010 model with the double stick markings no numerals at all.
I have a 2007 blackbird with brushed front and bracelet and polished side of watch head and sides of bracelet links. I consider that a 2Real" Blackbird, i suppose i will be shot down here but why can you call a blackbird a blackbird with a blue face ? I always thought it was tribute to that American masterpiece the Blackbird high altitude spy type jet. That aint got shiney bits has it ? You know understated under the radar stuff for men or women who like nice stuff but dont have to shout about it. Personally one of my bug bears is seeing these actresses wearing gold Rolex presidents or day dates , Mens size watches i know they are well under 40mm but why show them like bangles, i know theyve got money, i dont think they all appreciate the new movement or the Parachrom blue hairspring !
And when will Breitling put some in house made movements into our beautiful watches ?

The thread title is ridiculous in my opinion, the bloke didnt even have his adjusted before he was whingeing about it being heavy.Maybe hes sorted his life out now and had it adjusted but why ask such inane things on a Breitling lovers website ? :?

That's a relatively recent development, though, isn't it? Even just ten years ago, many Breitlings were considerably smaller than they are now. Given that Breitling has been around since 1884, how can you be so sure that big, chunky watches are "what the line is all about," rather than just a current trend that may or may not endure?

My clothes could be worn in 1950 or today. I go with Classic styling and I don't give in to "Trends". However when LING started coming out with large, "CHUNKY" watches as you call them I liked them. I have an early 90's LING Astromat Longitude that is 40 MM, that was considered BIG back then. Your comments ALL would lead one to believe that you don't even like LINGS. So if that is the case why not just follow another brand and enjoy smaller, thinner watches. That's the nice thing about this world you can CHOOSE whatever you like. So with that in mind get your ASS off this forum and go to one where they offer small, thin "Body of Christ" watches as thin as the wafer you get at communion. In other words get with the program here or go play with little wafer watches somewhere else.

Breitling Since The Early 1990's Has Always Had Big Chunky Watches - Period! Just That Other Manufacturers Picked Up On The Trend. At 40 - 42 MM Range of That Period Was Big As Acceldebt States & I Would Agree With Him If You Don't Like The Look, Get Wafer Watches & Find Another Forum!

Cheers,

Enezdez

CD,

My new woman is not "average". I learned my lesson with those types back in October of 2009 and immediately went out and obtained one of QUALITY. However I have to say that the years I spent doing it were not that bad after all and I guess it was just the cost of doing what I was doing as was explained last night. My friend and I figured out that the cost of the stolen LINGS were about $20,000. When we took into consideration how many times I INDULGED in that form of behavior (which although was questionable but seriously FUN) and divided it mathematically into $20,000 it only came out to about $53 per episode, so actually when you consider that, it wasn't so bad. I've since learned a great lesson, replaced some of the watches and I am much WISER now. So as I said last night, "there is a reason for everything and for everything there is a reason" I guess this was meant to be. For example, I'm still here TEACHING novices like you so look upward and thank GOD that LING MAN is still here, as it could have been much more of a serious situation !

From Ling Man, such rhetoric seems appropriate, if predictable. When you use it, you sound like a poseur, or possibly a simpleton going to grab a torch and pitchfork just because you see another person marching down the road with them.

Actually, we should be grateful because he fired up LING MAN so that us newbies can, finally, appreciate his posts in full glory

And I do think that his comments are right on the spot

Even this one?

I fail to see what a member's geographical location has to do with anything, let alone the cultural practices of that location.

Especially this one.

You're right that geographical location or cultural practices have nothing to do with it but only as long as it doesn't interfere with people's freedom.

However, we do have a serious problem in Europe with certain religious leaders (read: fanatics). One of the things they do is that they compel women to cover their faces otherwise they face corporal punishment.

I'm sorry for u, if your sorry life and the fact that you have more "posts" than i do are probably the only things you pride yourself with...& i can sense how mature you are by the wording of your posts...
