None of the above

A couple more clues....

It's a manufacture that started life as an independent that is now majority owned by another independent

The two complications were originally introduced by this manufacture in separate watches and then combined in this piece.

My last guess. Martin Braun "Astraios" EOS Sunrise/Sunset with the Frank Muller movement.

Heliozentric World Positioning? MB makes some incredible complications.

Nice one Roff, that's one heck of a watch......., and all the more so if you got it for a good price. I've seen pictures of those before, but Martin Braun never even entered my head in this instance to be honest.

Oh and nice deduction there Sergio!

Don't you know anything :?: :!:

It is essentially a way of showing the position of the earth relative to the sun. From MB themselves - "Braun set out to display the position of the earth in relation to the sun. The earth moves in an elliptical orbit around the sun, and, logically, at the same time every year the earth moves into the same position in relation to the sun. Representation of the relationship between the sun and the blue planet we call home could be resolved in many different ways on a watch dial. For example, Braun could have the earth move around the dial on a type of track system, but he felt that he could style the display in an even more visually intriguing manner for the watch aficionado. For this reason, Braun set to the task using both advanced mathematics and classic mechanics, creating a gear to generate a curve, or more precisely a cycloid, for the ellipse. The central sun wheel turns twice a year, and a carrier with three planetary wheels makes an annual revolution, all counterclockwise, with both of the main wheels engaging each other. A symbolic blue earth located on one of the planetary wheels illustrates the planet’s elliptical orbit. This orbit moves completely naturally in a counterclockwise direction, as it does in nature. A practical side effect is that the earth’s position can also be used as a month display, which Braun has marked with the appropriate names on the edge of the cutaway"

They don't jump, they are powered by an eccentric cam so move very gradually taking a year to make a full cycle from one end of the scale to the other and back.

It's 42.5mm.

The price really was awesome. The list price on Martin Braun is very much a 'suggestion' - I'm not sure why given that they are effectively in house Franck Mullers (FM Group bought Martin Braun in 2007), but these pieces just don't get the respect that they deserve (in my opinion). This is an unworn piece, although technically resale, but it's easily the biggest discount that I have ever gotten on any watch - and bear in mind that the Romain Jerome I bought last year was only about 35% of list.

Thanks for the comments guys, I'll post some photos when it arrives. I know that this is another 'niche' piece, and my wife did ask why it had eyes ( ), but I'm really pleased to have it.

She thought eyes, I thought...oh, nevermind... That is a seriously cool piece. Franck Muller and Martin Braun take the term complications to a new level IMO.

Wow, that's an interesting piece! I'm still trying to wrap my head around it though.

I understand (I think) that the blue dot represents earth, and moves counterclockwise around the center, showing the month and position of the earth in relation to the sun (the center).

But for the life of me I can't figure out the two hands that extend from "the eyes" and what the 4 to 9 and 16 to 20 scales represent. :huh

It certainly is a fascinating piece. Can't wait to see better pics. The dial looks like it has some texture to it.

Evidently you spouse and I have similar Watch-Qs. My first thought was - does it "hoot."

Anyway it seems an amazing piece. Congrats.

Edit - remind me never to engage mfserge in a game of 20 questions!!!
